Ron
became a sales consultant with LMS Commercial Real Estate in 1999.
He
is a 1961 graduate of McCaskey High School and a lifelong resident of
Lancaster, PA. After graduating from High School, Ron served three years
with the U. S. Army in Anchorage, Alaska. Following his armed force services
Ron was employed by ALCOA from 1964 to 1970.
Ron
joined Turkey Hill Minit Markets as a store manager in 1970 and advanced to
Real Estate Manager in 1971. In this capacity he was responsible for site
location, the site plan approval process and construction of new stores.
Along with real estate responsibilities Ron was also responsible for Turkey
Hill's entrance into the self-service gasoline business by opening the first
self-service unit in the state of Pennsylvania during late 1971. In later
years Ron was promoted to Marketing Manager, Operations Manager and finally
in 1988 to Vice President of Turkey Hill. During his entire tenure Ron was
involved in or responsible for the activities of the real estate department.
In total, Ron was employed by Turkey Hill Minit Markets for more than 28
years until his early retirement at age 55 in 1998.
Ron's
area of expertise in real estate is in locating properties for specific
users and his extensive knowledge of the geography within the state of
Pennsylvania.
